The payer is referring to the place of service code that you indicated on the add / edit session form in Therabill. Because Therabill only allows valid Place of Service codes (made available through the Place of Service drop down menu), the payer must be indicating that they do not accept this place of service code (also known as Facility Code). You may need to contact the payer to find out what place of service code they accept.
How to Fix in Therabill
The place of service code is entered on the add / edit session form in Therabill. The add / edit session form is accessible from a variety of places in Therabill. Because you are probably accessing this article from the EDI claim error page in Therabill, we will tell you how to access the add session form from the claim error page. On the claim error page, you will see a list of dates of service. These are the dates of service that were on the claim that came back in error. Click on a date of service to open up the edit session form for that date of service. On the edit session form, under the Billing & Coding section, use the drop down menu labeled Place to choose a different place of service code. IMPORTANT: Remember to click the Save button at the bottom of the edit session form.
To resubmit the claim, back at the claim error page, click the Resubmit Electronically button at the top of the claim error page.
