The ID number they are referring to may either be the NPI or any legacy ID's that you might have entered for this provider in Therabill. You will want to check the NPI to 1.) make sure it is entered correctly and 2.) make sure it is not at type 2 (group/organizational NPI). If you have any legacy ID's entered for this rendering provider, then you will want to 1.) make sure you are supposed to send a legacy ID and 2.) make sure any legacy ID's you have entered are entered correctly.
Check the NPI
Log in to Therabill and click Providers in the top navigation bar to go to your Provider List. Find the provider in your provider list and click the edit icon . In the demographics section of the provider information, check the NPI that you have entered. If you make any changes, make sure to click the save button at the bottom. IMPORTANT: You will also want to check that you have not set up a different NPI for this provider for this specific insurance company. To check this, at the top of the provider form, click the Ins NPI tab. In the Ins NPI tab, if you see a different NPI listed for this specific insurance company, then you will want to verify that the NPI entered here is correct.
Check Legacy ID's
To check if you have any legacy ID's entered, log in to Therabill and click Providers in the top navigation bar to go to your Provider List. Find the provider in your provider list and click the edit icon . At the top of the provider form, click the Legacy IDs tab. Make sure that any Legacy ID's that you have entered for this payer are valid (and needed - you should not submit a legacy ID if they do not require it).
