If you want to have your provider's actual signature on your printed documentation, then the first step is to have them enter an image of the their signature into Therabill. Therabill has created a convenient tool to allow you to do this. Here are instructions on how to get an image of your provider's signature loaded into Therabill.
Entering the Signature into Therabill
A signature in Therabill belongs to a provider/therapist. Therefore, you have them enter their signature using the edit provider form. The provider must be present so that they can enter their signature into their record.
- Click Providers in the top navigation bar of Therabill
- In your provider list, find the provider that you would like to enter the signature for and click on the edit icon associated with that provider.
You now have the edit provider form open. On the right, you will see a signature area and it should have text that reads Click to enter signature (see image to the below). Click on the text Click to enter signature.
Once you click on the text Click to enter signature, the signature entry dialogue will appear (see image to the right). You can now have your provider enter their signature. If you are using a desktop computer without a writing tablet, you will have to enter the signature using the mouse. If you are using a tablet or any device with a touch screen, you can enter the signature using your fingertip or any type of stylus made for your device. Treat the horizontal line in the middle of the input area as you would a signature line on a piece of paper. Entering the signature along this line will produce the best results when your signature is viewed on the finalized notes.
After you have entered your signature, click on the green Submit Signature button to view the signature graphic as it will appear on finalized documentation notes. If you do not like the appearance of the signature you can click on the Remove link. You will be presented with a dialog asking if you are sure that you want to remove the signature. Click Yes to remove it and you will again be presented with the signature entry form as shown in the graphic to the right.
If you are happy with the signature as it appears, click on the green Done button below the signature and you will be returned to the Edit Provider screen and the signature will be visible in the Signature Image area (see image below).
You signature will now appear at the bottom of finalized documentation as shown in the image below.
