A client wants insurance payments sent to her instead of myself. This is because she pays my full fee at each session and wants to be reimbursed directly by insurance company. How do I change the insurance card to arrange this?
If you indicate on the claim for that you do not accept assignment, then the insurance company should send the payment to the client.
Here is how you can mark the "accept assignment" to "no" for the client.
- Click Clients in the top green navigation bar.
- Find the client in your client list.
- Click the edit icon (blue pencil) for the client.
- On the right, click the edit icon for the insurance card that you would like to indicate that you do not accept assignment.
The edit insurance card form will now be open. At the bottom, in the advanced information, mark "No" next to "Accept Assignment" and then click the Apply Edits button at the bottom.
IMPORTANT: Remember to save the client.
