Therabill, back in the day, began as an Illinois Early Intervention tool. For this reason, we have a little setting that you can turn on that will allow you to easily add an Early Intervention Insurance Card to a patient in Therabill simply by entering the patients Early Intervention Number (EI Number).
What does this setting do?
Turning this setting on will create an extra field on the add / edit client form (in the External ID's section). The extra field will be labeled EI Number. Typing an EI Number into this field will automatically create an Illinois Early Intervention insurance card for the patient. You will see the card get created as you type in the EI Number.
Do I have to turn on this setting to bill Illinois Early Intervention?
Absolutely not. This is just a tool that will quickly create the insurance card for you in Therabill. You can manually add an Early Intervention insurance card if you wish. You do this by adding an insurance card and entering the insurance company as Early Intervention Central Billing. You would then enter the patients EI Number as the Primary ID on the insurance card.
How do I turn this setting on / off?
This setting is located in your client defaults / settings. Put your mouse over Admin in the top navigation bar and then in the drop down menu, click on Defaults/Settings. On the left of the defaults and settings page, click on Clients in the menu.
You will now be at the clients defaults and settings. In the settings, look for an option labeled Quick Illinois EI Card. If you would like to have this setting turned on, then choose Yes. If you would like to have this setting turned off, then choose No. IMPORTANT: Remember to click Save Changes to save any changes you may have made.
