Post Date: When entering a payment, you are given the ability to enter the date received. If you leave the date received blank, it will default to the current date. This date received is also known as the post date. This is the date that you indicate the payment should be posted.
Date Entered: This is the actual date that you entered the payment. This cannot be controlled by the user. This is automatically recorded by Therabill as the current date when you entered the payment.
As an example of the difference between the two dates, you could have received a payment on 2/13/2013. For this example, we will say that you were busy and you could not get around to enter the payment in to Therabill until 2/20/2013. When you enter the payment, you can enter the date received as 2/13/2013 (this is the post date). The date the payment was entered into the system would be 2/20/2013.
