The application runs completely within a web browser, allowing it to be accessed using an iPad. An iPad has different hardware and software than a normal desktop computer, which changes that way that you interact with a browser. Here are some tips and known issues to help you use the application effectively while having the convenience of a mobile device.
The iPad was designed to use finger gestures instead of a conventional mouse. There are two types of swipes that you can gesture:
- One-Finger Swipe
- Using one finger to swipe will simply move the Viewing Area. It does not move the list content.
- Two-Finger Swipe
- Swiping with two fingers will allow you to scroll through content, such as the Client List or your Claim Submissions.
Several areas within the application, including the Navigation Bar, rely on hovering. This is also known as a mouse-over. For example, to create a statement for your client, you have to hover over Billing to display the drop-down menu, followed by Bill Client, and then click Balance Statement.
The system has been coded to recognize when you are logged in using an iPad. You are able to click an icon, such as Billing, and the system will register it as a mouse-over. If you want to select that icon, simply click it again.
The CMS-1500 is Blank
The PDF viewer that comes preinstalled on an iPad does not have the capability of rendering editable PDF files. If you need to edit a CMS-1500 prior to printing, you will need to open the file on a computer.
