When I created a session, I accidentally marked it as initially bill to insurance. I want to change that to agency (or client). However, I can't find how to do this.
This is done by changing the status of a session and is done from the enter payment form(s) through the session action. For detailed information about the session action and the session status, please see the following article: What does the 'session action' on the enter payment form mean.
The most common place to do this is from the single payment entry form. To get to the single payment entry form, click Payments in the top navigation bar in Therabill. In the enter payment screen, find the session that you want to bill to the agency / client and click on the dollar sign icon associated with that session. This will open up the enter payment form. On the enter payment form, make the following entries.
- Leave the payment amount blank.
- Change the session action to either Bill remainder to agency or Bill remainder to client.
The enter payment form seems like a crazy place for this action...
Yes, at first it may seem like a crazy place to change the status of the session. However, when you think about it, it really is quite a convenient place for this action. Normally, you will be changing the status (i.e. bill remainder to client or agency) when you have received some time of payment. For example, you billed to insurance. Insurance paid and now you need to bill the remainder due on the session to the client.
