Prior to seeing clients and billing insurance, these items will need to be completed. Inputting your CPT Fee Schedule is done through the onboarding process, but your clinic will have to set up your bank account and complete the credentialing/contracting process on your own.
Pre-Visit & Visit
These steps are completed in WebPT's EMR. In order to create and submit a claim to insurance, you will need to schedule your clients, verify their benefits, and provide treatment. After you document the visit and indicate the services completed, the information will flow into the application as a session.
You should review each session prior to creating a claim. This will ensure that the service codes and their charge amounts are correct, the client's information is correct, and any authorization is attached.
After submission, the clearinghouse and payer will scrub each claim for errors. You can manage claim rejections on your dashboard.
The insurance company will adjudicate the claim and return an EOB or ERA. You should post the corresponding information and investigate any claim denials. Once complete, collect any remaining client balances.
Use the applications various reports to track outstanding claims, analyze the productivity of your providers, and break down your insurance and client payments.
